Did you know that April 14th, is National Pecan Day? We Kentuckians love our Pecans & Sahale’s Valdosta pecan snacks have totally outdone themselves! They’re all natural and this snack is packed full of great things! The Pecans were whole, covered in Organic Cane syrup, black pepper, and sea salt. As an extra effect, the cranberries and orange zest added just the right amount of sweetness. The Salty sweetness had my taste buds exploding! I would highly recommend these to friends, and serve at parties. It's also important to me to feed my family healthy snacks, and with this one I wont feel guilty if they indulge. That is, IF they can get the bag away from me! : )

I recieved the Valdosta Pecans, and was skeptical at first to try them as they didn't look like the kind of snack i would try. However, i went ahead and opened them and tried some and was pleasantly surprised with the flavor. It has the right amount of flavors, and the orange zest surely kicks it up a notch. I also think the cranberries were a nice addition to the variety of flavors it brings! The Pecans go great with everything else and everything mixes together so well. I like how the black pepper combines all it all and makes it a great snack. My 4 year old loved it and he is a very picky eater. He asked me if he could have the rest of the bag. Tehehe. Overall i think this is a very well put together snack. Something nice to indulge in while waiting in line somewhere or a great snack to have just to satisfy your sweet tooth.

I wasn't so sure about these at first. I opened the package and the smell was awesome. I must say I don't like whole cranberries, but there was something about these, I love the mixture, it was not over powering, just perfect.

My first swaggable sample was of the Sahale Snacks Valdosta Pecans. The descriptions is Pecans with Sweet Cranberries, Black Pepper + Orange Zest Made with black-peppered pecans and sweet cranberries. I thought this sounded pretty good. I was wrong. I could not taste the orange zest on the pecans at all. All I could taste was black pepper. The cranberries did not help as thier taste was also just overwelmed by the black pepper. I had a friend over when I got these. He tried one and nearly spit it out. It is too bad. If there wasn't any black pepper than this probably would have been very good. I would never buy these. If someone else had them I would snack on a few, but I would make sure to have a drink near by because of all of the pepper.

at first, i am not going to lie, i was a tad afraid, all the different flavors, all the different levels of snacks. it was a tad intense. BUT one i got the nerve to open the bag, i smelled it first, and i was blown away by how delicious they actually were. i love cranberries already, and then to pair them with pecans and the zest from the oranges. it was flavorful, and it did wake me out of my slump! i would say yes, this is a perfect snack, great for on the go, or even to hold in ones pocket to eat along the way. i love this! and cant wait to see it on the shelves with different flavors!

This snack is elegant and tasty. I happen to love pecans anyway, but the addition of the black pepper and the orange zest is very creative and gives the pecans some "oomph." I would proudly offer these to my guests to snack on at a dinner party. The only drawback is the sugar, which I am actively trying to avoid. I'm a self-educated nutrition label reader, and I can see that there are several types of sugar in this product.

's review New Orleans, Louisiana

The pecans themselves were delicious! They were 98% intact, whole pecans, very few broken chips. I love love loved the black pepper! I was hoping it wouldn't be too much, and for me, it wasn't. Now the cranberries. Horrible! Not only were they, in my opinion, devoid of any flavor, most were very tiny and they were hard, it was like trying to chew a pebble. The bigger ones were not as hard, but so chewy and sticky I needed a toothpick to scrap it out of my teeth! Not very pleasant! I hope noone with dental work tries to eat them, that little bag of pecans will end up costing a whole lot when you have to go to the dentist to have your fillings replaced! And now the 'orange zest' ... that is what the bag says is in there, believe me, I kept reading the description, then reading it again trying to figure out if it was a misprint. There was absolutely no orange zest, no orange, no zest, no citrus flavor whatsoever! I'm convinced that 'orange zest' was included in the description to test me to see if I was paying attention! Well, I was! I would totally recommend this product IF and ONLY IF the cranberry pebbles were removed and the words 'orange zest' was omitted from the description. Such a shame, because the pecans with the pepper were sooo perfect!

I wasn't sure about these when reading the label, but they weren't that bad. I think they were a little "rich" for me to eat as a snack, but a couple at a time were actually pretty tasty. I don't think I would recommend them to anyone, but might pick them up again in the future if the price was right. they had a good combination or sweet & salty, but Pecan's are not my favorite nut .

Overall, I would have to say that no, I wouldn't buy this. The pecans themselves, didn't have that nutty flavor that pecans are so known for. The conents of the package were all stuck together, so after "ungluing" the lump, I next tried the cranberries, again, they didn't have any individual taste & the only sweetness was the coating. Both the pecans & cranberries got stuck into my teeth due to the gumminess, making it quite frustrating to eat, and not satisfying at all. To make this better, first I would add more to the package, and less of the sweetener. The cranberries should be dried in another way, so that they keep their flavor, and maybe add a touch of granola to break it all up. This was a great concept, however, I would have to say that this is a beautiful mess, much better to see, than to eat.
